I’ve just treated myself to a Xbox for Xmas! It’s got an Executor 2 chip in it. However, it has the standard dashboard (the person who sold it me tried to use Xbox live with the chip enabled and thus banned the machine – I use the PC for online gaming so I’m not bothered) Which dashboard can and should I install, I’d like the Xbox to play DVD’s and Divx’s (and obviously games) I’m a day old when it comes to Xbox’s so if this has been asked sorry. (I’ve had a search but not found a definitive answer).

Also do I need to connect it to my PC, or can it be done via a CDWR? (the simpler the better!)

install evolution x and install it from dvd-r or cdr (whatever your xbox can read)

I suggest getting hold of slayers evox installer 2.5

Cheers! i'm in the process of getting 'slayers evox installer 2.5' its a .exe file do i just burn this and stick it in the Xbox? i thought there was a complecated process involved in changing the dashboard?
