I've got Vice City. Put it on a multi dvd (dvd+rw) with GTA3 and True Crime.

Everything was working great. Have been playing it for weeks.

BUT: the other night I clicked on Vice City to load form the multi game menu (MXM) - it loaded into the intro. Clicked to contine (to the point where the load bar comes along the nottom of the screen). NOW, everytime I play it gets to a tiny little bit along the load bar and the game freezes. Doesnt get any futher.

First though wast dirty disc, cleaned it - the same

Burnt again DVD+RW - same point

Burnt on a DVD-R - exactly the same point.

Burnt on it's own disc - same

Deleted all save games (:-() - no change. Freezes a tiny little bit into the load after the intro.

Fixed XBOX clock - still the same.

I've been playing this game for weeks with no problems, I appear to have no other problems with any games - what is wrong, this is the best game on the XBOX and it wont load again.

Maybe its gremlins?

are u sure the clock and date are correct in the microsoft dashboard

Check to see that the In Game Reset option has been disabled in the settings menu...the option appears 3 times in various submenus...so make sure you get them all.

this is the same with :-

chipped / game on hdd / disk

TSOP / game on hdd / disk

all the latest bios / evox

etc, i`ll try the date thingy, and the IGR, but if anyone has any other solutions, much appreciated...........

i had the same exact problem with this game as well as a few others (gta3, amped 2, nfl fever) i even rented vice city and tried to make my own copy....THEN i found this thread, fixed the time and now everything is great! too bad i had to waste a rental at blockbuster

yep, the time fixed it for me as well!, and also worked for

fifa2004

which crashed at the first load screen, set the time, works fine now!!!!!!

Worked fine for me also, changed clock and all was fine.
