I have just instaled XBMP with slayers 2.5!On a standard retail hd slayers installed this to E:apps.What i wanted to do was upgrade the media player that links from the evox screen which is in the utils folder.
What i need to know is this, the apps folder can be viewed via boxplorer but there isnt a link to it from the evox screen just a link to utils so how do i link the apps folder to evox screen.So how do i link this media player from the apps folder to my evox screen.
Is there anyway i can use slayer to upgrade the media player in the utils folder?Itired iso buster on the slayers disc to extract the media player as i couldnt find a compilied one to FTP but couldnt get it to work.

you have to
a) backup the old xbmp to pc, then delete it from the xbox
b) you then have to delete the settings of xbmp which are stored as a gamesave- so start your xbox in the m$ dashboard- goto to the game save option and delte the save for xbox media player
c) ftp your new compiled version to the old folder containing the previous release
d) to load xboxmp from the first evox menu you are going to need to edit the "evox.ini" file which contains all the info on where apps/games are and it what order they are displayed.
e) ftp the evox.ini file to pc- keep a copy of the original- open it up in notepad and have a look though it

That sorted it.
I was under the impression that 2.4 would auto start svcds providing your drive could read them i have a samsug so no problem their.If i pop i svcd in nothing happens.Any pointers to get this feature running m8?

you can play the actual file can't remember if its mpeg or dat, but it won't auto load. at least not that i know off

Shortbloke on the xbmp forums made a patch to autoload svcd but for some reason i carnt post on there, maybe a newbie time limit or something.
