Im am trying to set up xbox live using my standard bt voyager 100 adsl modem. A simple thing you may say but alas not for the staff at my local PC World.
Today I have been sold a modem/router which sounded fine but when I came to try and set up BT broadband again via the BT cd it was only configured for the voyager so I had no connection details. I returned to PC World and was told ney ney ney you only need a router for that (which is what I had previously asked for). So armed with router came home, alas again the voyager modem is USB only and unable to be connected to the router as it does not have usb.

Before I return to PC world and commit a serious injury on someone, could somebody on here give advice as to what I need. Please e-mail if the reply is to long and remember I'm a now rather frazzled dad in need of help.

Lots of tutorials on Xbox-Scene.com

ok. One pc with usb modem and one xbox, yes?

Fit a network card in the PC. (unless you have network built into your motherboard, most new pcs have)
Use a CROSSOVER cable to connect your xbox to pc.
Enable internet connection sharing (ICS) on your pc. You must have Win 98SE or higher. And away you go.
