I have got a DVD image of a film. The size of this image is 4.39gb. When i try to burn the image onto disc with Nero it says that there is not enough room on the disc. My discs are 4.7gb capacity.

Can anyone help. Is it the way Nero write the file structure? Is there another program that will help?

its because u can only get 4.37 Gb on a 4.7 disk, so u need to reduce to this or below...

Windows sees one kilobyte as 1024 bytes, and drive mfgrs see it as 1000 bytes, so the 4.7 Gb they quote is not how windows sees it. 4,700,000,000 bytes /1024 /1024 /1024 = 4.37 Gb, according to windows.
That's why your hard drive always appears to have less space than advertised, as well.

You might aslo get it to 4.38 if you're lucky. But 4.37 is the max.

Same Reason why 60 gig HDD are about 55.9 Gig.
