Hi,

I was testing a DVD writer and an error occured while copying the ISO file.

This is what I did:

- Passed all the original DVD files into the hard disk with DVD Decrypter
- Created an ISO file with InstantCopy (saved into the hard disk)
- Recorded the ISO file into the DVD-R disk (at 1x) with DVD Decrypter. The original DVD had little more than 3G.

In the last phase there was an error at 73%.

I/O Error!

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

Interpretation: Write(10) - Sectors: 1344 256 - 13 44271

Sense Area: (...)
Interpretation: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format

(...) Stands for some codes; If you want I can write them as I screenshotted the error.

The DVD Writer is a Pioneer DVR-106. Supports the DVD-R format so I don't know why that "incompatible format" message is shown.

The disk was a Maxell DVD-R (came with the recorder).

After that I tested the disk dispite the error. The dvd writer does read it (altough it's probably not complete because the program stoped at 73%). My dvdrom doesn't read it (supports DVD-R), neither does the stand alone player (I think it supports DVD-R but I'm not sure).

So I wanted to know if anyone has an idea of why this error happened, and what should I do to prevent this in future copies.
One last thing, the original DVD was a R1 but my drives are all R2. Can the copying error be related to this?

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you use InstantCopy to do the burn ?
