try using the shibatch ssrc audio encoder with tmpge, a far better prog than tmpge's own audio encoder
if that do not work. use gold wave 2 change 2 wav then import into tmpge:eek:

What type of Divx is it?
If it is XviD with VBR mp3 audio then you could try ripping the sound with VirtualDub and saving as .wav and using that sound when you encode with TMPGEnc. But you always get a b1tch of a file now and again that is a right pain, if it is say a hdtv TV ep from the web then the ad's have usually been edited out, other alterations sometimes made etc and this can all make life difficult when it comes to encoding the avi. :(
