Can anyone please help me a bit here? I dont know which out of these two graphics cards to go for:

Asus ATI Radeon 9600SE/TD 128MB

MSI FX5600 XT-TD128 (GeForce)

They are both pretty similar in terms of price, and both have TV-Out, which I want, but can anyone point out any other differences?

It would be nice If I could install the Nvidia screensaver things that you see in the shops, like Dawn, or the monkey. So the GeForce does appeal, but I've heard that ATI's are faster and in this case its £12 cheaper than the GeForce.

Thanks in Advance

9600se is a stripped down version. I think the fx5600 is better. But a 9600pro is better than the fx. I would perfer ati over nvidia. You can get the 9600 and overclock it to a 9600 pro or as I heard even to a 9800pro.

Out of the 2 I would go with the MSI FX5600 XT-TD128 (GeForce)

Ugh! I'd go for a Radeon 9600 Pro or XT. As for the Nvidia, if you decide to play DX9 games it won't do the pixel shadings correctly as the ATI card. So the games may look darker and shades a little off with Nvidia cards. Go ATI Radeon Pro. If you can't afford the videocard that ATI made you can always buy a third party card with the ATI technology. Like Sapphire, Gexcube...etc...go to www.pricewatch for cheapest ATI card.

I'd say go with the ATI card...as was mentioned, the 9600pro is a good choice. I just like them better as a company nowadays (my old card was a GF3Ti500). Plus, ATI cards are more futureproof. I must admit though I dont know anything specific about the cards you mentioned, just generalizations mostly.
