1. How much does a plug and play or easy to solder modchip cost about nowadays?
2. Will I be able to get a modchip for any version ps2?

3. How much do they sell ps2 backups for? Since I cant view BST forums.....................

4. How many working emulators work for ps2?

1) around 30 to 60 bux
2)check ur version b4 getting a certain mod
3)dont know
4)a couple

using a no solder method, aka a swap...get a fliptop cover or a slidecard along w/ swap magic disks(cd loader needed for some)
-both extremely easy 2 install(slidecard easiest)
-both extremely quick to do the swaps
-great alternative if u have never soldered circuits or anytn/not too great at it
-no risk to ur ps2...unless ur really bad with technical stuff, well if thats the case dont bother with installing a modchip since this is 100x easier
-there r lots of people who will install a modchip in ur system, but make sure its a reliable source and compare prices so u dont get ripped off.

if u choose to do the no solder method heres some nice links

hxxp://www.ps2cover.com/products.html for slidecard and fliptop

hxxp://www.swapmagicfix.com

Is a modchip better than a nosolder swap method?

-it is better in the sense that u wont need cd loader and swap disks
-however, they will both(swap and mod) play the same games without any problems if all burned correctly

so yea, a modchip is more convient cuz u stick the game in and ur set, but if u dont wanna bother with worrying about messn ur system up if u ƒuck up installn mod..just go with a no solder swap method

**i dont know if this next thing is true or not, but ive heard people say how their moddychips can detect some games tht work online and then freeze em, but with a no solder, u can use an original game online without a problem...but the modchipped systems will set off the lil "alarm" in the online game even if its an original** <<< can sum1 verify that? and if its true that wud be a good reason to go with a no solder swap method
