My PS2 is chiped with a DMS3. It has always played anything I throw at it, except GTA Vice City. For some reason I get disk errors. I have tried 3 different disks. A ritek, a verbatium, and a silver. All of witch give me the same error. The screen locks up, and it says error reading from disk. If I wait a minute or two It will unfreez, and I can play for a couple more minutes before it does it again. Does anyone know why this does this, and it is the only game that does it.

Go to the options and turn the sound off. I had the same problem even on the best media sound off works

Well I tried that, and it does work. I don't really like the idea of playing a game without sound though. Nobody else knows a different way?

another solution is get hold of the official GTA VC soundtrack, play that in your stereo whilst playing, and have the sound on the game turned off....or get the original...(ps the first part has been done by others the second I'm not so sure...lol)
