A m8 of mine has just imported a game called FINAL FANTASY X-2 in ntsc format, this will not play in his machine.

As I do not know if the ps2 games are region coded I was wandering if any one could advise me on whether it is the ps2 which will not play it or because his T.V. may not support NTSC.

If it is the latter, is there a cable you can purchase to convert the signal.

If it is an original shop bought game then it will be region encoded and will not play on a PAL ps2.

If it is a copy then depending on his modchip it should work ok.

Yup, get a modchip or use a swap method.

thats the reason we all have modchips for playin on import games ;) right guys
