Insomniac Jan 08, 2004, 08:31 PM The links you have supplied are timed out.
Dave2986 Jan 09, 2004, 03:01 AM Links always time out on the dixions websites m8
TECHWOOD are just rebranded models of somthing elses i think, the dixions group sells them cheapish
WARP MAN Jan 09, 2004, 06:26 AM Ok, thanks. What about the camera, any good?
Insomniac Jan 09, 2004, 03:11 PM That so called camcorder has no tape, and generally, I can't stand Packard Bell. I can't think of one good thing they make.
I'm also curious why anyone would want a plasma screen when you can get other technologies that are better and cheaper.

WARP MAN Jan 09, 2004, 06:54 PM Sorry, I know nothing of these things, what are the other options instead of a Plama TV?
Insomniac Jan 09, 2004, 09:32 PM LCD, rear projection and crt are the main ones.
The problem with plasma is it's only a new technology, and it's reliability is unknown and it's way overpriced.
Personally, I would have a look at something in LCD or even a large crt.
As far as the camcorder is concerned, some of the Japanese manufacturers make some excellent ones like Canon, JVC, Sony etc.
Do you have a budget or price range in both?
marah Jan 10, 2004, 08:29 AM Got mine out the box Dead pixel, tuner box not holding settings, remote not working properly and the skin tones are bad also its actually only a 39" check the viewable size compared to true 42".
Question do all plasmas have bad skin tones ie anytime someone moves its like an O.S. Map. Thanks
I am thinking of getting a 36" CRT instead unless some one has a better idea.
WARP MAN Jan 10, 2004, 01:34 PM Yeah, my price range is about £2000 for the tv - I want it to be flat and wall mountable as well....
...and about £200-250 for the camcorder. Digital of course.
Obviously the cheaper the better though.
Any recommendations?
Thanks.
Insomniac Jan 11, 2004, 08:52 AM I'd either go for a LCD or a CRT.
Both have advantages and disadvantages.
HERE (http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews7133.html) is a really good review site for televisions.
HERE (http://www.camcorderinfo.com/) is one for camcorders.
