This is a computer setup that i am planning on getting and I would just like to get people's coments on if it should be pretty god or if I should upgrade anything. Here it is:

Motherboard: Asus nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket A CPU, Model "A7N8X-E Deluxe" -Retail

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2600+ "Barton", 333MHz FSB, 512K Cache Processor -Retail

RAM: Kingston 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-2700 - OEM
Speed: DDR333(PC2700)

That will be basically it the case and poer supply wont matter much and I have yet to pick out a video card. Other then that does all of that look pretty good. Also the OEM on the RAM shouldnt matter should it? Thanks

Just noticed this:
I was planning on ordering everything from newegg.com. The RAM that i was going to get from there was $80. Which can be seen here: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?DEPA=&sumit=Go&description=20%2D144%2D202&searchdepa=0

but then I was looking at this site and noticed that they had faster RAM and it was faster and cheaper and it wasnt OEM. That's here: http://www.buyxtremegear.com/kin3200512.html

Do you think that i should just get the better RAM with free shipping?

Get PC3500 or PC3700 RAM instead of PC2700 just in case. :D

Yep, OCZ RAMs are very good. With good & fast RAMs, you'll fully enjoy this excellent mobo later on without spending more money in the future on upgrading RAM.

Also this board can only support 400mhz 3200 RAM it says here: http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socketa/a7n8x-e-d/overview.htm

Anybody know of a different better board at $120 or close to???

:) Forgive me for wandering OT a bit but @Van - do you write reviews/articles on hardware at all? I'm not trying to be funny here, I've noticed that you are very clued up on mobo, cpu and memory matters (in particular) and you write in a "public domain" kind of style at times.

No San m8 but I know most owners of this mobo would be itching to crank it up after a while. :)

Yup, but thanks to the PCI/AGP lock and the mobo's ecellent overclockability, it is possible to go up to 220 FSB or so (around 440MHz) with good RAM.
