Have got Pro Evolution Soccer 3 for the pc.
However the graphic settings have to be turned down to low/med quality as the scrolling becomes to jerky etc.
I do turn off the virus checker and any other unnecessary applications but it doesnt make much difference.
On the case of the game under recommended specs it says CPU Pentium 4 1.5GHz.
Now the processor ive got is the 1.7GHz. Also the graphics card can operate at 8x AGP although with my mobo its max is 4x.

I cant afford both a new mobo and processor, so which would make more difference with this game if i was to get one or the other?

Thanks

You would probably notice a greater increase in performance by getting a new motherboard.

a mobo that uses DDR ram would give you the most bang for your buck.

I think PES3 has some sort of glitch with some PC setups where it can run like crud. A patch has been released to fix this. Try installing the latest patch first to see if that solves the problem!

Hi
thanks for the input.
the graphics card i have is the radeon 9600xt 256mb ddr sapphire.
the mobo is the gigabyte GA 7ZXE k7 triton series via kt 133a.
and i did install the latest patch but it didnt make any difference.
I would like to get a mobo with ddr but then its all extra expense which i just cant afford. so i guess i'll just have to save up!! :)

If i was to get a new mobo with ddr and with 8x AGP which one would you recommend?
Thanks

A very popular board is the Abit NF7-S 2.0.
It's very good for overclocking, dead stable and has great onboard sound.
Bought mine for about £87 a about 5 months ago and it's been great, seen it going for £62 + P&P now.
I have my XP1700 running at 2.3Ghz on it with 2 x 256MB PC3200 DDR. PES3 runs perfect on it (with a 9500pro).
