I found this today on BestBuy, and I was wondering if it was a good deal. I have read reviews saying that GeForce FX 5200 cards are not worth the money since it gives you the same quality as the GeForce 2, and I currently have an Nvidia GeForce 2 mx 200 and its a bit laggy on new games. So I though on upgrading. Please let me know what you think about this card.
Thanks.

I'm using XP Pro BTW.

Hell no, 150 bucks for that!! You can get a ATI 9600XT 128mb for that, which is much much better. Look on pricewatch

For $139 I would get a Radeon. A 256MB FX5200 is only $90 these days.

Sorry for hijacking, but I have a Geforce II MX 400 which was fine until I installed Max Payne 2 this weekend. That game was draining the life out of my AGP card....

Was thinking of getting the FX5200....So you guys think I should'nt?
It was really cheap, and the cards you mentioned above cost a lot more...

Stay away from it, you can get a radeon 9600 se for $85, which I think is better than a 5200.

I've seen 5200's as cheap as $60 to $75. Like the others said go with the 9600 for the best value.

Thanks guys - I'll keep that in mind when buying a card once I recover from the expenses of the festive season ;-)
