I did a search but couldn't find anything similar to my problem to help me. What's wrong is that my pc hasn't been shutting down for a good few weeks now, it goes to shut down but then just restarts. But, last night I had it wired up to the TV watching a film and it shut down perfectly a few time; wired it back into the monitor, problem is back. I thought it must be something to do with the monitor or display related. I had a fiddle with a couple of things but no luck. Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot,
Michael

Have a look in your reg for this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SOFTWARE-Microsoft-WindowsNT-CurrentVersion-Winlogon-PowerDownAfterShutdown

then change the value data from 0 to 1
