it is really self-explanatory. go to the site and d/l the program, install it, then open it to connect. the game list will be there when you open the program. basically any game with a system link will work.

XBC tricks your Xbox into thinking its playing a lan game, (which in all reality it is) but its not connected to an Xbox in the same room as your xbox, its connecting it to another xbox over the internet. Its a pretty cool program, and a great alternative to xbox live because you can use backups and it supports games that are not xbox live compatible (can anyone say halo?). the only downside is that its userbase is extremely small compared to xbox live and you'll have a tough time joining/hosting a game that isnt halo, or hasnt been released within the last month.

if you want to play over the Xbox Live network/servers then yes, both users need an xbox live account and an original copy of the game. As far as I know there is no way to directly connect to another Xbox for LAN play that isnt in the same house as the other xbox (via wired or wireless network or LAN), like you can with a PC. As far as XBC works just host a game and tell your friend to join, its very easy and very user friendly
