did you get a good price or a bad price?

I don't think its too smart to do. You may have more trouble than its worth. And ebay may shut down the auction depending on how its listed.

If you even remotely specify that the box is modified, the auction will be removed.

I wouldn't bother.

Some did try & yes they shut them down. If you have a buyitnow for a right price you can get it sold before they shut it down. Not that I would try to do so ...

We have a BST forum around....

I tried selling a broken modded PS2 for parts or whatever that I didn't want anymore on Ebay and before i submitted it said something how like it appears you have modified a game console and the authorities will be notified and possibly the manufacturer if you choose to submit so i thought, hmmm, maybe not...

EBay has a page checker that picks out words from listings so if you advertise something like a modded console space the words out like:

m o d*d e d console or chi*pped

One guy just put a photo of the mod in the ad & no description.

As everyone has said be careful how you word the ad. I had a modded PS2 for sale and the bids were flying in until ebay removed it (after about 6 hrs)

I just recieved an e-mail saying the item was removed, i dont think anybody is notified but if you persist putting similar items or try to repost the same item then they warn you that your account will be suspended.

Ah, I got shut down 4 times in a row for selling OEM software but they didnt do anything. Of course I learned after that to include the computer board too...

I have seen there was a guy sold the modded xbox for $350 with 10 games. I email him for more info. What happen is he modded the xbox without using the mod chip. I know there is a way to do it. I think something about flashing the TSOP. But anyway, he modded it then install 10 games. Somehow he can manage to fill up the 10G with 10 games. He advertise it on ebay but didn't say anything about the xbox being modded. So I read his feedback and found out from other buyers saying the games are on the hard drive. He sold more than 10 of these system.

i sold a psx with an old modchip in it recently and i had to reword it about 20 times to get it to even post. it managed to last the duration of the 5 day auction but they are really strict. you have to get fancy on how you word it for there screeners not to pick it up yet let the customers realize that it is modded.

When i bought my xbox from ebay (modded) the guy had it listed, but ebay removed it, i had already emailed asking him if it had samsung drive, spoke to him some more via email and bought it from him via email. (but i wouldnt do that again, took ages to turn up at my house! i was thinking i had lost my money!!)

Anyway look for people who say "xbox for sale - + EXTRAS" Then in the description they will say "if you dont know what extras are, contact seller" This are the modded ones you are looking for.
And probably the best way to do it, ebay cant afford to have people email everybody who says "contact seller for more info"

GL selling it. :)
