I bought a few cheap sure mics good sound and the kids use them i also bought a few crap ones for when doin gigs then the drunken a##es can throw them about.Dont know really which shops near you hun unless u try a local market and buy a few there just for the kids or try argos or index a few good ones for kids in there.

if you have a Maplins try in there they have great offers .# mic set for just 19.99 ideal for kids. But they have many more hope this helps ya.At least it will keep u busy for a while.:p

Steve,

My Niece got a Pop Idol Mic and stand and I have to say it sounded better than the ones supplied with 1 karaoke machine and the two supplied with a karaoke DVD. Also being with a stand is great for freddy mecury impressions when top half comes off.

I think they got it from www.Argos.co.uk

Toyrus have a box that goes with the playstaion and has 2 excellent mikes with it, small enough for kids but good enough for anyone. Its only £19.99.
