it has to be either the epson r300 or canon i865, their both around £140

http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/interactive/Canon%20i865/page_12.htm

both cost about £25 for a new set of inks but as their indervidula carts they last longer, not sure how long as i dont have one

look here for inks

I wouldnt get an epson R300, i got one to replace my photo 900 because of peeps on here praising them anyhow i sold it after 4 days after the ink tanks were only half full after doing only 14 movies (Disc & Covers) so lets just say you get around 30+ from an ink change, I get around that with my photo 900 and an ink change is a fifth of the price of the R300, As you can see i kept my 900 and got shot of the R300, id rather save £20 on an ink change than save 40 seconds on a printed document.

I read you your posting and agree that the r300 is a good choice. I dont know which you have chosen but I have found that the cheapest place to get the cartridges from is:

http://www.regencyexpress.co.uk

They charge just £8 per set and they last for ages. If you want even better deals sign up to their newsletter. I have found that they often do my printers cartridges (r200 which are the same as the r300 cartridges) for less than £1 each.

Hope this is of help.

Do not ever buy an Epson printer. They are terrible and have had a class action suit that won against them for their cartridge scams
