I have a working back-up of an X-Box game on a DVD. I want to create a back-up of this game. How do I do this on a Mac using Toast 6 Titanium. Please help. There must be someone in this forum that knows the answer to this question.

Never used mac, but it should be a one to one copy. Copy the contents of the disc into a format that records the disc such as (iso) then burn the disc back.

On a Mac when you insert a cd or DVD the icon appears on your desktop. When I pop in the game it says ISO_9660_CD but when I double click it does not show me the contents. Is this normal for an ISO file?

You wont see the contents of the disk.

All we do on PC is image the disk and burn, should be the same on Mac.

Create image with your DVD buring software...

After that burn the image. I don't know for sure what MAC image file types are. But as long as you keep the DVD in tactand not extract(ftp from the xbox) the files then you are ok. Just burn the image after you create an image.

Disc to Disc copy... try that option in your burning program.

yep disc to disc for a backup to backup copy. don't do any special settings, and do disc at once and no multisession. should work a champ. :)

ok mate i've just had a look for you on xbins and there are two iso extraction/creation tools there:
The xbox backup toolkit (mac OSX) (it says version 1.7 and is a .dmg file not sure what that is maybe u might know)
the other is Xdisc (Mac OS x) and thats in the form of a zip file.

sorry i couldn't be of more help: i'd check the "xISO extracting/creating Tools" section of the xbox-scene tools for more info and dazzler's link as well
