Greetings ...

I have a Sony DRU-510A DVD-/+/R/RW internal burner.

Something strange happened.

I was in the middle of making 7 identical Boot CDsusing Nero v6302. When starting on the sixth CD ... Nero immediately reported that the burn was completed, even though there was still one CD left. Nero did not appear to hang ... in fact, I was able to terminate the program

Now here's the strange part ... the orange LED on the Sony was still blinking as if it was still busy burning. I could not eject the CD within ! I was able to reboot Windows XP (Pro) but the orange LED was still blinking and the drive would not eject. In fact ... Windows no longer "detected" the drive (it wsa no longer listed within Explorer !)

I tried a cold boot (power down, then power up) but once I turned on the power, the LED started to blink again.

I had to eventually manually remove the CD with the power turned off.

Even with the CD removed ... the LED STILL CONTINUED TO BLINK and Windows no longer recognized the drive !!!


Is my drive ruined ?!?!?!?!?


PLEASE HELP !!!!!

uninstall it in system & restart the computer.
