does anyone know of a good cheap surround sound speaker set up
that i can just plug into my dvd player?

Not sure u can recommend speakers to someone as it's personal. I'd go around and listen and buy the ones that sound the best to you for your budget.

Were you thinking of gettign a surround sound amp. You'll need one if you're DvD does not have 5.1 outputs. If your player does then you'll need active speakers.

richer sounds do many good products and always good prices

just bought panasonic amp for £150.00
speakers with sub start from £80 upwards depending on what you want i bought eltax speakers which has produced a wicked sound
best money spent for ages dvds sound awesome!

hey tj69 - Dixons were doing a 5.1 surround system, packard bell for 80quid!! digital decoder and sounds great. check it out~~!

Just bought a fortnight ago.

Richersounds - Limit HC40(think that's the model) Subwoofer with built in amp, centre and 4 satellite speakers for £120. Very nice sound, good looking(in comparison to me) and good price if you'd prefer to dabble in home cinema for a few years before going the whole hog and getting seperates.
