Hi guys, I've searched the forum but cannot find anything that helps me.

I create DVD's for friends and family (home movies etc) but my latest one needs subtitles. I need to create them from scratch. I have NO idea how to do this so ANY help would be very much appreciated.

I use the following software if it helps:

Adobe Premiere Pro (editing & MPEG output)
Adobe Photoshop CS (Menu creation)
TMPGEnc (sometimes for converting AVI's to MPEG2, but also for de-multiplexing the MPEG2)
DVD Maestro (DVD Authoring)

I guess, watch the movie, note the times needed, write your subtitles in notepad, test them, make any adjustments and then convert to .son format ready for authoring with maestro.
