waveydavey1 Jan 21, 2004, 02:24 PM cannot backup disc two as it is too big on maximum shrink!!!(using dvdshrink) any suggestions:confused: psibob84 Jan 21, 2004, 08:27 PM use dvdshrink in reauthor mode to join both disks into one big image (cutting out all but the 1st ac3 audio track) (you will need to set the disk to "NO COMPRESSION" then goto www.doom9.org and follow "the big three" guide for shrinking a dvd down onto a single dvd. doing it this way i managed to shrink the two towers extended edition down to a single dvd-r keeping the quality excellent (this was after cutting out the 20mins of credits and setting cce to 7 pass at just over 2500 avg bitrate :-) ) failing that just put it through dvd shrink and then put the new folder through again but trust me it will look $hite waveydavey1 Jan 23, 2004, 12:36 PM is there no way of compressing and keeping everything i didn't want to butcher it cheers dave jockyboy Jan 23, 2004, 02:39 PM @psibob84 the big three guide????? if you know of a guide why don't you post that instead of cryptic clues?? celtic_druid Jan 23, 2004, 02:54 PM He did post it. Anyone that is too lazy to bother following a few links probably shouldn't bother with the guide as it does involve a bit of work. Anyway, here is a directlink: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/ra-guide.htm jockyboy Jan 23, 2004, 04:26 PM thanks for that celtic_druid i done a lot of searching on that site and can find nothing resembling "the big three" guide . celtic_druid Jan 23, 2004, 05:59 PM Guides --> DVD / miniDVD --> DVD backup guides --> Using Scenarist NT & the big 3 jockyboy Jan 23, 2004, 07:33 PM ah.......the number 3 it is.....doh! handyguy Jan 24, 2004, 11:06 AM using my dvd recorder I can get 4 hours of great video on one dvd with just a minute or two of my time. |
