I have been struggling for weeks to write - format on a multi format dvd writer. I was using yellow - datadiscs on a pioneer106 writer and it froze the computer and caused all sorts of running problems. Thinking it was the writer I exchanged for a liteon +/- writer. This time not the same freeze but indicates no disc in drive for - writes. + discs write with no problem but it seems - discs whether branded or not will not write at any price. I am using windows XP could it be a fault with this? I am pretty certain that the writers and disc's were OK. Anyone able to suggest a cause please.
