Hi everyone.
new to this forum, so be patient with me.
I've just started burning dvd's & wanted to ask somebody elses opinion
on a couple of things.
Doe's anybody else use Xcopy Express, as i haven't seen it mentioned to many times on previous threads. My burner is a BTC IDE 1008... has anyone else used this burner & if so what software have you used with it.
I've had about a 50% success rate so far, i've been using R+ & R- disks
with verying success, but the R+ seems to have the edge when played back on my TOSHIBA dvd player. Ultimately i would like 100% success rate but i'd
settle on 99%. All hints geatfully accepted. Thanks

If it was me I would save myself upto $1oo plus and use the FREE DVD Shrink which IMHO is way better than every single 321 studios product full stop. (Hence them signing Dr Shrink himself to sort their stuff out. Allegedly, if you are reading in dvdshrink! :D )

Dead easy to use and simply let it use Nero to burn the files.

Discs = Best compatiblity use Ritek dye only.

HTH :)

Yeah, but they need to find what version of shrink works for them, the new one (3.1) only works on my n2000 computer. Xcopy does seem faster too for some reason.

Forget DVD X Copy and go with Lazza's suggestion .... far superior/no security warnings/fewer bugs etc. ..... and it's free ;)

Yup, I have Xpress, and DVD Shrink and I always end up using DVD Shrink. Yeah it takes a little bit longer but unlike Xpress there are no backup warnings or copy protections inserted onto the discs. Also IMHO for some movies the quality looks better with DVD Shrink. I found that for movies that require high levels of compression that Xpress (even if I just used the movie) would start to look grainy. If I use the Deep Analysis feature with DVD Shrink they would turn out excellent. It does take a little bit longer but you get quite a few more options and as mentioned it's free.
