Hi I am trying to put together a computer karaoke system. I have transferred all my karaoke on a 250gb hard drive. I am running Mimic Audition Advanced Hoster and it works great. I purchased the Soundblaster Audigy Platinum sound card and some good microphones.
My question is do I need to use a mixer/ amplifier and if so what do you recommend? Is there a good brand? I have a surround sound system but would it be better to use regular speakers?

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I would suggest an amp/mixer combo like a Fender. These look like an amp box, with mike inputs on the front. I have a Fender 300, that has six mike inputs and a separate hook-up for CD with a 9 band equalizer. You just plug your sound card outputs into the RCA plugs and you can run everything from it.
