Just before I start and rename my 10,000 karaoke songs, which I play through winamp.......err let me start again......
before I start to change the ID tags, so I can use the full media library functions in winamp (it will take me weeks), I was wonderin' if there is a better way.
At the mo, I use excel to find a song then churn through the many sub-directories to find it, and click it to play in winamp 5.
If the tags were all correct, It would be much simpler to find songs and play them just using winamp functions....don't cha think??
I need to rename 54 ek albums, 30 ezh albums, 168 legends, 213 sunfly's, 52 sf golds. 45 sfmw, and about 60 odd zooms.....
shouldn't take that long !!
unless someone knows a better way......
p.s I have K S L C, but the new version I have does not let me export lists.......if anyone knows how I can get the FULL version of the prog ??? for me to evaluate before I buy ??

God I never thought this hobby would take up so much time.....

I woiuld suggest that you use KJ Pro and a Program called CDG Autonamer v1.0 , I have renamed the Whole Sunfly set and many more in my collection in a fraction of the time it takes to tediously type them ,or even copy and pasting names into the 2 files, it even works with BIN file naming aswell, and i believe with ZIP files too.
You run the program in conjunction with the K J Pro program and it uses the K J Pro database of songs to rename each file at the simple click of a mouse !!.
I reckon that when you become conversant with it you will be able to rename a whole disc in about a minute !!, no bull !.
You can pre determine what you want to have the discs named in specific formats.
e g , DISC NAME, TRACK NUMBER , SONG TITLE, ARTIST and it cuts the mustard as far as i am concerned and i defy anybody to tell me of a quicker program to rename files !!.

This Program is on the servers COS I PUT IT THERE !, MONTHS AGO !!

LET IT ROLL !!!

If you download the Excel lists that vinnie offered and put your discs in the same order then thats about 4000 taken care of, have a look at the post Lists merry Xmas and see if the trustclip is still valid then put the discs in the same order. Saved me weeks of typing and then just change the tag on every tenth track for checking purposes, open Excel beside your winamp and off you go.
