Any help on easiest way to convert cdg to dvd.I have been converting cdg to Avi then avi to dvd but very long process.

Any help at all will be appreciated.
Going round in circles now :P

as far as i know sharon any way that u want to convert cdg to dvd takes ages.i dont think theres a proggy out there that will just do it all for ya.might be worth asking on the dvd section of this forum.

Took me 9 hrs to convert 1 disc can be doing that lol.Think i will need to stick to cdg to vcd not so long.Not got enough hours in the day to be doing it all.My hubby and kids will be leaving me soon :(

my mates got a sony dvd recorder...one of them ones you shove under yer telly......input your cdg player via phonos to it....record a track in real time only....do this at your leisure until the dvd is full......he done one in medium quality ( tv quality) and got 96 tracks on it ! plays brill and looks just like your watching a cdg !:tup:

Use CDG2VCD to turn them into mpegs.
Run through TMPGEnc to get them to
MPEG-1 352x288 25fps CBR 800kbps, Layer-2 48000Hz 128kbps
( The bitrate can be dropped to this because the graphics are very basic )
This means they can be written to DVD using ULead DVD Workshop or similar with menus etc.
You can get well over 100 tracks onto a DVD this way.

never thought about doing it with the dvd recorder(the one under the tele)seems like a good idea.gonna av a go this weekend.

they probably dont know a way to do it shazna.just keep the post there for a while.some kind soul may help.

colbol.how long does it take to do it the way you mentioned.

Yeah i think so steve hun.

And yeah Colbol can u help with time limit with ure way please hun.

Some times think its easier just to leave them as they r then me being me i like to venture into something new and will make my kids and me happy once completed emmmmmmmmmmmmmmm in about 1 or 2 yrs at this rate lmao

Go to Asda and buy a Pacific 1002w they play CDG now there is need to convert them.....
play cdg on your dvd for about 40 quid

Never thought to try that and my son has one of those in his room lmao.

And guess what ure right they play cdg.

Better not tell my girls cos theirs is a combi dvd they will want a new one next.

OOPs will eat my words just tried the girls dvd combi purchased from asda and yep it can play cdg too.
Would never have thought of trying that as it is not on the spec.

Yep u certaintly do .
The combi make is AudioLogic model P1430
Bought from Asda Stores

Just a Lil 14" tv/dvd combi and now we know just shows u cant always go by the spec of a product.

Need to try my other dvd player after its a Sharp so dont know if that will work then again Hey u never know.

Well nope the Sharp dvd player i have dont work with cdg just shows the cheaper u buy the better they r lmao.
Think the next dvd i buy for myself will be the cheaper version or just swap with my son :p dont think he'll mind.

Thanks Colbol & Steve54 for all ure help got things running smooth now using cdg2vcd then TMPGenc.

You both have helped me wonders would still have been sittin here months down the line working it all out and maybe a dicorce from hubby and kids would be in order if i went on much longer LMAO
