i burnt out a resistor in my ps2 and now when i want to listen to backed up music it will play it but there is a lot of stress on my laser and before i burn that resistor out it played fine. my ps2 is not modded. if i resolder a resistor back in my ps2 will it play cdr music again?

Probably. Have you switched out the media that you were using?
