OK, basically I sent a bloke some movies for him to play on his PS2 games console. The console is not chipped, as it's one of these new silverones that can play movies, etc, already.

Anyhow, the problem I have is that some of the movies I have sent him, although playing fine and dandy, are in black and white????

Now, I aint a big goer for games console playing movies as I aint got a clue about them........just thick I guess!!

Now, with my limited brain strength would I be correct in thinking this is a connection problem between his PS2 & T.V.?

If so, what kinda lead does he need.....and more to the point, where can he get one so I can prove it's not me at fault before a dispute gets raised!!!

well the black and white issue for PS2 *games* is easily solved using a properly wired rgb scart cable (ps1 scart fits the bill too), you can buy them for £5 and are also known as Euro Scart cables - the Ps2 scart isn't correctly wired...

I think people are forgetting that when you use a RGB Scart Cable with the PS2 to play dvds you get a green screen or do the newer models not have this problem?

On my BLAZE RGB scart lead, there is a switch which cuts out the Green Screen on DVD Movies. But the region X would also solve the problem.

Game sell them, i got mine from Mackros.

Im sure if you do a search on-line you will find many places. Just make sure its an RGB one.

Plus make sure your Tv does support RGB.
