Plenty of threads about how these are among the worst quality. IMHO Cheap media=Cheap Results.

what the generation 4 ones? thats not what all the sites say.

Bulkpaq = Bulkcrap ..... no question about it ..they have got to be one of the cheapest nastiest out there another Princo disaster story.

Ritek 4x with orange label Bulk are by far the best I have every used.

I have found these to be the best of the cheap disks.

The so called "Bulqpaq Riteks" are B-Grade quality dye and definitely have more issues than the ones that come straight from Ritek.

after burning various things on these discs seems they r ok for everything xcept my xbox backups.

Just out of curiosity, which DVD Drive do you have in your XBOX? The reason why I ask is that certain DVD Drives are pickier than others.

its a samsung, but I think it might beed a clean, might get my self one of those dvd cleaners.

Don't touch the ones with brushes on the disc. They will scratch the hell out of your lens. My recommendation is to take the drive apart and clean it with a non-abrasive cloth. It's the best way to ensure it gets cleaned properly. BTW the Samsung is the most flexible XBOX DVD Drive to have in terms of media. Doesn't say much for the Bulqpaq discs does it? ;)

Not meaning to question your wisdom jerserrace777, but how can a plastic brush scratch a glass lens? Glass is harder than plastic, therefore plastic shouldn't be able to scratch glass. Same principle as diamond; they use diamond to cut glass because diamond is one of the hardest substances out there....

Strangely enough, the only drive I have that out-and-out refuses Riteks is the Xbox, and it has a Samsung drive in it. Other than that it'll take any old junk. I tend to use the crap I buy for testing purposes and which doesn't work well on the Xbox....

As for the Bulkpaqs, eurgh. NEVER buy a Bulkpaq disc. BIG mistake.

They're notorious for introducing a small number of the A-grade version of a disc, getting rave reviews for it then putting out sub-standard garbage and fleecing people of their hard-earned.

To be honest, I think this wing of e-net/Silicon is probably responsible for making Princo's reputation in the UK even worse than it should be.

Don't do it. You'll be sorry :(

Or at least, if you do do it, take advantage of the discs in the first few days they're out. You *might* get a bargain in those few days.
