i got the bad trans virus in an email. whats strange about it is that the subject is the same exact subject as an email that i was sent to me by a company called I.S.A. . the company makes a program called PC Internet Patrol. i cleaned the virus with NAV 2002 before it infected my PC. how did this person know what my email was? is this bad? i am very disturbed by this. if anyone would like to check out the email i will send it to you. please help me on this for i am dumbfounded on this one. thanks

hi m8 it sounds like you had a worm in the pc aka email filler
what happen is when you open say a file or list someone
has sent you
there is a program that copies all the email contacts
and send out a email right away
like look at this now or open up need your help.
what you can do to stop this happening
is on the first email adress have john000@com
and it will try and send the email out but will not get anywhere
that just a backup if you do get it again
hope that answer a bit for you
backup2k1 (the name u can trust)
ps
look for a trojan cleaner on the net called the cleaner
for a big scan.

i already have a trap set up in my contacts list. also i scanned my pc with NAV 2002 and The Cleaner. nothing was found. i guess im safe. i changed my email password just in case. i might be changing my email account to a web based one like hushmail for more security. i cant seem to find any other email accounts to work with outlook express but hotmail and yahoo. thanks for the reply

If you want better security get rid of outlook express.
