I deleted a virus that when u start up windows the virus cannot be deleted without norton anitivirus and i deleted it already, but when i start the computer a little box pops up and says it cant find the file .exe so how do i delete it for good so the pop up box doesnt pop up when i start windows?

ok..lol, let me explain again. I had a virus on my computer, then i deleted it with norton antivirus,but when i turn on my computer and window starts up, it says the .exe file cant be found which is the virus and i cant take that box off the start up. can u tell me how to take it off because the virus was part of the start up on windows

Go to Start, Run, and type in msconfig and press O.K.

In the start up tab, look for any suspicious entries and uncheck them.

If you are unsure, post back with what they are.

Also, what was the name of the *.exe file?

svcpack.exe that was the virus thanks i got it off now

It's a back door trojan and it's probably still there.

Did you just uncheck from startup in Msconfig?
