Hi,

I've been wanting to clean up my system of any extra rubbish for some time now. I tried a program called AdAware over a year ago, and it messed up everything so was pretty disappointed.

Now I'm thinking of using PestPatrol. I am wondering if any member knows whether this is any good? is there any chance that it will also mess up my system?

I'd really appreciate any answers .

Many thanks in advance

I guess any program could cause problems.

They all however allow you to remove the files to quarantine rather than permanently deleting them in case you have problems at a later stage.

I don't use Pest Patrol, but I've never heard anything bad about it.

I've always used SpyBot Search and Destroy to good effect.

Once you feel your system is clean though, you need to install both SpyWare Blaster and SpyWare Guard and you will never have a problem as long as they are updated regularly.

I use pestpatrol, running windowsXP pro, haven't had a problem with it, I actualy prefer this to all ive tried as it has a cookie patrol that runs in the background and cleans them up before they get to your HDD.
