I have a Compaq Armada Laptop and would like to fit more memory.
Can anyone offer any advice on stripping down this make of laptop.
Even better can someone point me in the direction of a website tutorial or ebook on this subject?

Thanks in advance.

Typically, adding memory a laptop involves simply taking off a panel on the bottom of the laptop. The RAM is usually right there and pops up by pushing out a couple clips. Check Compaq's support section for info on your particular mdoel if you still need it. :)

The memory in these laptops is usually under the keyboard (at least for the m700 and e500) Just take out the screw in the middle of the underside of the laptop (from memory I dont think the m700,s have one) then pop the four sliding catches at the top of the keyboard and gently lift the keyboard from the top. Once this is done it is a straight forward case of inserting the ram. You can get all this info from HP
