I use FlashGet (http://www.amazesoft.com) and would recommend it, another good download manager is Getright (http://www.getright.com). these days any decent download manager will resume downloads as long as the site supports resuming. In order to avoid add or spy ware I think you'll have to avoid the free download managers though.

Either the above, Download Acclerator Plus, as well as Mozilla and other browsers have them built in.

The best free one is Net Transporter - no spyware, no ads or banners - from the author of flashget!!:round:

Download Acclerator Plus (as Inso mentioned) or Fresh Download. I prefer Fresh Download as it doesn't have a lot of fluff like Reget, etc. It simply does what it's supposed to do.

Fresh download is very good. (They make some other great programs too :) )
