Whats your operating system?

Are you allowing Windows to set virtual memory or have you manually set it?

Is the Hard drive partitioned? If so, check which partition the swap file is on.

Try allowing Windows to manage your virtual memory, reboot, and see if it helps at all.

check your processes and see what is running in the backround besides those programs.

Have u defragmented ur drive by the way..?
It happened to me all this days, cause I forgot to defragment it..!!! since 2 months, ans this 2 months mean like 50GB more than I filled up..!!!
My PC was slow and message showed up: "Virtual Memory Low"
By the way I have installed ""Diskeeper"" wich is the best I think, I change the settings so it runs all the time. Memory wont be low again...!!!!
Also try "System Mechanic" 30 day trial u at least will be able to defrag.
PC is fast and running smoothly
((Took me like 4 hours to defrag 80GB that I haven't defrag in a long time))

;) Hope This helps.:blockhd:

Hey Imsomniac got two questions for ya
1) Whats with the settings of the virtual memory, I changed them to 1,000 default and max 4,000. Is that good...?
2) How do I upgrade my account here ((want to change my signature, and also be a higher member of this society))

The setting you use for virtual memory depends on which operating system you use and how much memory you have.

HERE (http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/expertzone/columns/mcfedries/03june16.asp) is the recommended setting for XP.

Have you set your virtual memory as per the link I supplied above?

You can check task manager programs either at LIUtilities (http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/) or ANSWERS THAT WORK (http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm).
