i have just built one i usually boot straight of cdrom and away you go buts its not working. It takes me to dos all time and i dont no dos at all can anyone help its urgent cheers

going straight to DOS sounds like it isnt set to boot from the CD rom in the bios. are you sure you have the CD Rom set as the first boot device?

Yeah also, make sure you hit any key when it prompts you or it will try to boot to the next boot device after a few seconds.

Don't format, just do a repair. (j/k)

If you have a copy of XP, it may not have the boot info on it. letme know so I can send u in the right direction
