hi i got banned from an irc server because my computer is compromised by a bot/worm called "nosferatu" does anyone know how to get rid of this?

this is what the text message says: * Banned [HoeServ] Compromised-Host-Nosferatu

Download software that scans for spyware such as adaware and remove anything it finds.

i have used spybot and spy sweeper but it has not worked......

Well, I've searched for 'nosferatu' on virus librarys and can't find a thing. I can't even find anything on Google other than some movies.

Have you tried doing a virus scan?

There is a progrma called Nosferatu lite. it is a worm and deals with encryption of windows files and folders. it si not a worm you get "infected" with it is a program that you install.

actually i don't believe its nosferatu anymore i believe it was an admin that banned me but i am for sure that i'll infect by a bot/worm, because i email the server owner and said that it was a bot that has compromised my system
