When I am making backups of my DVDs, I can burn them ok, but when I try to play them on my PC they wont play? They play ok on both my DVD players though?

Any ideas what is causing the problem??? I never used to get this problem until a few weeks ago.

I have already tried a DVD cleaning disc.

Please help!

Depending on what you mean by "wont play" ..............

It might be your player software is playing up.

Try uninstalling & reinstalling it.

By "play" I mean the film wont run on my PC.

I've just tried another couple of disks using a different burning software, and the disks dont play on my DVD player either now.

I think the fault is coming from either my DVD Writer, or I have bought a couple of boxes of dodgy disks.

The disks I am using are Bulkpak Orange X4's, which have been no problem in the past.

I tried burning a data CD disk and that worked fine, so I think it may be the DVD disks.

Hmmmmm. BUlcraps are about as bad as you can get ..... dont waste your time on them.

Graba pack of Riteks ... these are best for movies and let us know how you get on.

Yeah mate you're right!!!

I bought a couple of Datasafe Media DVD-RW's today and tried burning a film onto them. They worked fine!
It must have been a couple of dodgy boxes of disks!

I am steering well clear of Bulkpak from now on! In fact I may even e-mail them to tell them what I think of their above mentioned product!

Cheers for your time!!!
