Hey guys, a mate of mine has just bought the toshiba 4x dvd-r/rw writer- (think it was £50- impulse buy methinks)

anyway his pc is a pIII, 600Mhz, with 256mb ram.

and 20gb in total over 2 hd's

anyway i warned him thats its close to the min spec for backing general dvd burning, but he went ahead and bought it-

Cos he said he just wanted an all in one solution, and he liked and had always used nero for cd burning, i told him to use the latest nero and and get the recode2 addon- and use anydvd: I don't think he has the space to rip the source to hd in the first place.

anyway he installed nero 6.3.0.3, and it seems to have spacked his computer- it just won't load- i'm telling him that maybe his computer is just old, but he refuses to accept that- is there anything he can do withought obviously upgrading ram/cpu/getting a new machine that may let him use a dvd burner in that machine?

nero 6 needs lots of patches. Try nero 5.5.10+

600mhz is enough you can do 8x on a 800mhz.
