I just bought the aladdin advance chip from this one guy, and he told me that he doesn't solder the "L2" wire (this is the wire that go to the back of the xbox board, if I'm right." The diagram on the internet shows that I have to install this "L2" point, now I'm confused. Does anyone in here know what this wire(L2) is for? it is safe if I don't solder it? Another quick question, does the aladdin avance v32 and v64 installed the same way(same solder points).

I have a v64 AA chip. The L2 is for the HDD LED Option. You can wire it up to the point(which is under the IDE conector) to enable the LED activity light. If you don't wire it up you won't get any lights. Your decision.
