What's the best disc out of these three ,as blankdiscshop as stopped selling traxdata dvd-rs :(.

FWS 4X DVD-R

Ritek Branded 4x DVD-R (purple on top)

Ridata 4X DVD-R

All use the ritek G04 dye.Which are best ,I would assume G04 dye is all the same ,but it seems not to be like that.Got some Arita Ritek G04 here and there crap.Keep getting bad burns on them.Ps2 game wouldent boot on one ,neither would a xbox game ,never had any probs with the traxdata.

Some of them use B-Grade quality dyes and so even though they are Ritek G04 they don't work as well. I would only trust the ones from Ritek/Ridata themselves as they come straight from the factory. I have been using Ridata for quite a while now and they are just the same quality as the Unbranded Ritek silvertops. ;)

The Riteks and Ridatas carry the exact same Grade A dye that Traxdata did. So you are getting the exact same discs. ;)

The datasafe 4x from blankdiscshop (aka svp) are grade A too incase the purple ones are out of stock anytime.

I thought the Datasafes were B Grade. They are still supposed to be pretty good but no quite as reliable as the Unbranded Ritek/Ridata discs (hence the cheaper price tag). I could be mistaken though.

The datasafe are A grade, It's the datawrite that are the cheaper B grade, i wouldn't touch them with a 100ft bargepole.:) The funny thing is at the moment the datasafe 4x are even £1 more per 50 than the purple branded riteks.;)

The Ridata discs I got were made in the Gigastorage factory (Ritek MID, but you can tell a GDS disc by the slightly darker colour and the differing stamper code).

They *are* A-grade, and are a good disc, but they're a different formulation.
