I have been making compilations of my CD's using Artec 52x External writer & Nero (bundled version) for 3 months with no problems. All of a sudden burns are failing every time. This happens just after track volumes have been calculated and then the whole system freezes requiring mains switch off. I also tried it with my laptop & same thing happens. I have re-installed software & even tried with Deepburner & still the same thing happens. When this first started the burn process would reach 14% and then freeze. This happened about 10 times & now it won't even start the burn process. The writer drive continues to run during freeze up but won't eject. I hadn't changed my system in anyway that might have caused this problem & is generally well maintained ie. defragged etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated but please avoid jargon if poss as I am a relative newbie.
