I own a NTSC (USA) PS2... I have a Neo 2.2 on board and have never had bootup problems in the past but tonight as I was tring to boot up the ripped demo of GT4 and now I have a problem. I booted the demo up and picked NTSC out of the other options of PAL and PAL 60hz. It wouldn't boot so I tried to boot it a few more times in different ways with no joy. So I booted the demo up and tried PAL 60hz and it wouldn't come up either but now when I boot the system it goes to the Browser screen everytime. It will take some time to read the DVD or DVD game or my Region-X disc and will bootup except the region-X is having problems booting. Everything else will read then boot off where the memory cards are shown. I've tried to do a dios but nothing happens when I ask it to do so... What can I do to get it to boot to the PLAYSTION 2 screen then to the disc or game like it use to. It seems the 60hz option did something to it and now I'm at a loss. Please if you have any info on this let me know because this has never happened to me before. Thanks in advance... CFizz.... :)

Isn't there a tutorial that explains how to align a laser for a PS2 version 4? I thought I had it but with the redo of my computer I must have lost it... any info anyone can give would be great... thanks! CFizz ;)

I thought I would update anyone out there that could help...

I can boot PSX backups directly now and never could before I always had to use the GS or a disc to swap and all DVD originals boot fine. CD games seem to boot but my CDr backups have a heck of a time trying to boot as it does what was said here... My GS and Region-X disc just has a time of it and once in a while will boot but most of the time forget it... any one out there that has or has had this problem and if so what did you have to do to correct it? Thanks again....
