ok well you're gonna need to give me a little more info- are the other 48 files complete lancerx?- in quickpar what does it say regarding blocks required and blocks available (from the par2 files)
what news reader are you using? I only ask cos you may not have enough par2 files to recreate a whole rar file (total size of par2 files has to be > amount of data missing in the rar files).
However in most newsreaders, they often are set to default to not download incompletes as they are basically useless, however with par2 files if you have say an incomplete consisting of 30 out of 50 blocks, but you have say 25 par2 blocks, you can reconstruct that file (but not if you have more than 25 blocks missing)
I use newsbin pro and its fairly easy to guide you through downloading incompletes through that, but i'm not sure what it is for other newsreaders- but the options are or should be there
unfortuenately if you have par2 files then smartpar is not gonna be of much help as that only is compatible with par files.
will check back in a bit to help you out if i can

this is my problem now, i could download the rar file for that movie and fix it, but for this one, i have ten missing files out of 50, i downloaded a bunch of par2 files but when i use quickpar it says it needs 365 blocks to complete, but i donīt have any more par2 files and there is not more to download from the poster, i really donīt know what to do. I use newsbin pro too.
this is what i do: open quickpar, select open (down on the left) and select all the par2 files (there is not par files) and let qp to run but the it says i have missing blocks.
thanks

missing or incomplete- because by default newsbinpro doesn't download incompletes. e.g. if you select all (but some are incomplete) and right click and select "add to download list" then only the completes will be downloaded.
to download incompletes, select them and then rightclick and further down there is an option called download special- in there is an option to download incompletes.
Once these incompletes are download you may have enough to reconstruct the movie.
I fyou can't find the incompletes- if they have been completely wiped, then you are pretty much stumped- you're gonna have to post on the newsgroup asking for some kind sole to repost about 8 rar files (assuming 1 rar is usually 50 blocks)- you can see how many bloacks the rar is broken into by looking in quick par display
