Im not sure if this is the right place to post this topic, but ive downloaded a few xvids from the internet and I cant seem to get a picture the sound works ok and my divx files work fine can anybody help plaese?

Have you downloaded and installed an XviD codec? :)

I have installed divx codecs, I thoght thay work with xvid to
if not do you no where to find xvid codex?

I've just found a site that has the xvid codec and my xvid are working fine
the reson I though I dident need new codecs is becouse when I dident have divx codecs and tryed to play them nothing hapend but with the xvid the sound work, stupid of me really

DivX can decode XviD, in fact by default DivX has generic MPEG4 enabled and has a higher priority than XviD as such even with XviD installed DivX will do the decoding.

Best to use XviD though, I would recommend 1.0RC3 or newer.

For pure decoding you can also use ffdshow. I would recommend Athos' 20040304 build.
