Ok...I feel like a tard!! I have been reading through all the forums in hopes of a clue LOL. I am new to this game. I have a little kodak camera that takes digital movie in .mov format. I want to get them on a disc that the in-laws can play on a standalone dvd player. I did suceed but it really sucks because it is super choppy. This is what I have done thus far. I dl'd the TMPGEnc and have converted the files (movies) to a svcd compatible .mpg using the default settings with the exception of changing the video arrange method to "full screen (keep aspect ratio)". Then I used NERO 6 to burn the movies...they do work but the quality is way BAD. What am I doing wrong and if this is in the wrong forum plz forgive me because I'm all over the map with this one...I feel like it could fit in anywhere. Oh....I'm not using a DVD-RW drive I'm just using a Sony CD-RW. The guy at Circuit City said it didn't matter and I didn't need to buy a DVD-RW to do what I wanted to do (make a VCD/SVCD to play on a DVD player). Am I an idiot for listening to this guy? I believe I burned it at a high rate like 30x (can hear everyone sighing...LOL). What rate should I burn at using the Sony CD-RW? Plz throw this lost dog a bone!! :o  :zombie:
